Lipid profile

Checks the fats in your blood. A key test for heart health.

NABL partner lab · [Lab name]Also called: Cholesterol test · Lipid panel
Quick answer

A lipid profile measures total cholesterol, LDL ("bad") cholesterol, HDL ("good") cholesterol and triglycerides. For most adults, LDL below 100 mg/dL is the usual goal. Your doctor may set a lower target if you have diabetes or heart risk. It costs ₹[price] and is in every Aarogya 360 check-up [confirm].

What it measures

What this test tells you.

Your body needs some fat in the blood. Too much LDL can build up in blood vessels. HDL helps clear it. Triglycerides rise with sugar, refined carbs and alcohol.
